The North East National Board Of School Education, Guwahati was established in November , 2007 as per S.R. Acts XXXI of 1860 Government of Assam.

The North East National Board of School Education Prescribes syllabus , courses of instructions and text books for school education in all over india besides conducting examinations based on courses listed. At present, the Board conducts examinations for the following courses: Secondary , Senior Secondary(Arts , Commerce , Science).

As many As thousands candidates annually appear in the examination conducted by the Board.
